lol nice one myword.

And Megla, sorry I misread your first post -)

Grats on the title anyway. Why did I think this title was account based? Too bad I missed the preview event.

Woo hey Xela!

Sif not have me in any of the pictures. At least you can see my name in a few hahaha!

Sorry you didn't get in the scribe. That sucks that you were left out.

Edit: For those of you who are insinuating that he is selfish: Xela spent time helping other people level and get their points, as well as giving away money and items.

You took off from work to play a game? And to top it off, you sat in front of a computer screen for an entire day? You need some serious help.

You ran the risk of making your body sick for the sake of obtaining a title in a game that you knew was going to be deleted anyway. It's no accomplishment at all. You lose, good day sir.

Kais no, Megla dont need any serious help. I'm tired of listening to people who think that playing pc ALOT once in a while mean that you need serious help.

It's not the fact that he played the whole day. It's the fact that he skipped out of work so he could sit there for an entire day in front of a computer screen, which is very unhealthy. As the OP stated himself, he was feeling the effects of doing so afterward. And he did all of this for what? For something that was going to be deleted the next day. I'm sorry, but if that's something you aspire to, then you need to check your priorities.

And why exactly should that be of concern to YOU?
After all your flaming him on an internet board. Something quite a lot of people out there would consider downright unhealthy and nerdy.

Where's the flame? There was no malice at all in my post. Just cold, hard facts. Take it or leave it.

Only reason he stopped was because the event was over. Basically, he had a binge of Guild Wars, which is common amongst addicts who delve into a myriad of unhealthy practices.

I'm done with this nonsense anyway. You guys can side with him or do whatever makes you feel happy. I made my point.

I remember when the local TV channel chose to run a weekend marathon of Godzilla Movies. WOW what a fun weekend I had sitting in front of the TV and watching Godzilla. I even skipped a day of work for it. Sometimes in a rare instance you just need a bit of harmless self-indulgence to make life interesting.

Congrats to the OP for some simple harmless self indulgence.

Dude, realize that what you're doing here, acting all high and mighty, in an INTERNET Forum is in no way better. It's even worse as you seem to have completely lost touch with reality or else you'd see how nerdy your attitude really is.

Hey, wait a minute! Since when is taking a day off work to do something you enjoy bad in any way? People do it all the time! That's like saying you don't master...., er umm, ya know, play with yerself. It's a guilty pleasure that everyone does, but only the brave admit it.

Ya know, playing hookie.

This whole thread is a car-crash 'Look at how I binged on GW for a days, now give me recognition for my pointless achievement.'

You forgot yourself and Kais. Trolls that try to make themself look better at the expense of others.

I've been at Wacken. I felt almost dead afterwards. It rocked. No one complained or told me to get a life. And i can assure you, Wacken was a lot more hazardous to my health than playing a day of GuildWars could ever be. Now put you and your lousy horde of trolls back onto track for reality. If you want to go on a fricking "thou shall be changed!" crusade do it in real-life. If you dare.
Please, be one of those funny "Jesus has not given up on you" shield wielders at Wacken. But i somehow doubt your courage to make fun of others for doing something hazardous would stand a mere second.

Megla - My congratulations on your achievement. I hope the Scribe makes an amendment to add your character to the list of Marshalls.

People who participate in game-dedicated forums, simply to knock the people who play the game, are the ones who need to get a life.

Periodic dedication to having fun is healthy. My daughter recently took Friday and Monday off work so she could drive to Louisiana, go to an LSU game on Saturday, party on Sunday/Monday, and go to the Saints game on Monday night. I guess she should seek psychiatric help for all the fun she had.

<snip, troll, snip>
irony much?

If you deleted all the posts from the general forums which were having a moan about the game, you wouldn't have a general forum. Considering the ammount of flames 'The Scribe' gets on these boards, it's fairly amusing to see people who suddenly have an opinion on a fairly meaningless inclusion.

As someone has already stated, "do you really need your name on a webpage to make you happy?" I'm not bothered that the kid took time off work, but ranting and providing a photo-casebook of his rather dubious and meaningless achievement and then have the thread explode into a flame is a bit much.

1. Game
2. Internets
3. It's reset anyway

This thread should be closed tbh.

Edited because I'm not going to reply and top the thread: Amity; 'starting the fire'? Please go and look up irony. Thanks, bye.

wow the point of the thread has been a little missed... the fact that gaile replied without slagging off the guy should tell you it was a valid complaint...

He didnt play in order to get his name listed, but the fact that those who acheived the same got recognition and he didn't is grounds to feel hard done by... perfectly justified

He enjoyed himself and no harm is done, he made an honest and fair protest about being left off a list he deserved to be on, gaile replied and said they would check records... thread done

But instead all this bad attitude, have we really been so embittered by guild wars and it's frustration factor at time that we must bite at people who don't deserve it?

Anyway my two cents, he has a right to an answer as to why he wasn't included and is justified in feeling a little hard done by, he's not sad or ill for playing so much, he had fun and obviously is still alive.

Grats on the acheivement over the weekend btw.

Actually, go read the topic. The one starting the fire were the likes of you bashing the Threadstarter for no reason. So if you don't like a flamewar, don't start one, duh.
Geez, the concept of minding your own business must be rocket science. You don't like it? Fine, i have the ultimate solution for you. It's called "Back Button". It instantly brings you away from the "omg freaks lol" that enjoy something you don't enjoy with the added bonus of not having started a Flamewar.
